EGMONT A. AND P. SHOW.
OPENING NEXT WEDNESDAY . Good entries have been received for the Egmont A. and P. Associations Show, to be held at Hawera on Wednesday and Thursday of next week, the total number being 1777, as against 1744 last year. The cattle section should be particularly strong, the entries exceeding those of 1920 by over 70. Following is a comparative statement of the number* of entries received in the various sections, the figures for 1926 being given in parentheses:—Horses. 31U (397); cattle. 540 (468); sheep. 3IS (446); pigs, 88 (73); dog trial?. 13 (Ur-, home industries, 424 (346) TotaK, 1777 (1744).
