BUILDERS’ CONTRACTS.

REVISING THE CONDITIONS. By Telegraph.—Press Association. Napier, Last Night. At the meeting of the Institute of Architects, a communication was received from the Master Builders’ Federation asking for a conference with representatives of the institute for the purpose of revising the general conditions of contract, which have been in force for the last ten years. The matter was referred to a special committee on conditions of contract that is to be set up by the incoming council. Subsequently Mr. B. C. Chilwell, on behalf of the Auckland branch, moved: “That the incoming council be recommended to appoint a special committee to amend the general conditions of contract, on the lines recommended by several district branches, such committee to report to a special meeting of the council as provided by regulation 187.” The motion was carried.,
