At the Civil Engineers’ Conference today it was urged that a stop should be put to the practice of canvassing for work, which was considered by many members to be unprofessional. A committee wa's appointed to consider what is professional etiquette, and to report to the conference. Mr. F. A. McLean was elected president; Messrs. Jas. Burnett and Furkert vice-presidents; Mr. W. H. Morton, hon. secretary; Messrs. J. Blair Mason, M. E. Bush and N. Crofton Staveley, members of the council.
