EXPORT OF PRODUCE.
THE ZEALAN'DIC SAILS TO-DAY., VALUE OF DIRECT SHIPMENTS. The Shaw, Savill and Albion liner Zealandic, the third overseas vessel to takfl produce direct from Taranaki since the beginning of the present year, is due to sail to-day from Waitara, where she has been loading frozen meat for the Home market. The cargo comprises 13,000 freight carcases, and is valued at about £25,000. The other vessels which have taken produce this year are the Wangaratta, which sailed from New Plymouth on January 25, with a consignment worth approximately £98,500; and the Kumara, which left New Plymouth on the 12th instant with a big quantity of produce, the value of which is set down at about £241.500. The total value of the three exports by direct vessel so far this year is therefore about £365,000. The next direct vessel scheduled to load at New Plymouth is the Cunard liner Port Hacking, which is due in the second week in April. The vessel will load 15,000 carcases- of frozen meat from the Smart Road works, New Plymouth, and from Messrs. Borthwick's Waitara works, and 20,000 boxes of butter and 5000 crates of cheese.
