USE OF VALUELESS CHEQUES. By Telegraph.—Press Association. Rotorua, Last Night. At the' Magistrate’s Court a young man,. Sidney John Badains, pleaded guilty to four charges of obtaining money and goods amounting to £25 by valueless cheques. He was committed to the Supreme Court at Auckland for sentence. On a charge of stealing a cheque book at Te Aroha he was remanded to Hamilton, and on a charge of obtaining £8 and a watch valued at £2 at Auckland he was remanded to Auckland. Other charges are pending. The accused arrived from England six months ago.
