Mr. James Christie, headmaster of Loburn school, whose death took place last week, was 57 years of age. He was for a number of years engaged in journalism, and was at one time connected with the Waimato Times. Clutha Leader, Otago Daily Times, and Bruce Herald. He had been in charge of Loburn school for five years. The funeral service was conducted by officers of the Cromwell Masonic Lodge of whiich fraternity deceased was a member.
