Admiral Strauss, of the American Asiatic Fleet, has advised the Navy Department that two sailors of the United States cruiser Albany were slightly injured in an attack by Russians at Vladivostock on February 8. Admiral Strauss states that the affair has no political importance. Mr. Daniels has asked for details following the report cabled on February 11.—Aus. and N.Z. Cable Assn. PRECAUTIONS AGAINST TYPHUS. Received Feb. 16, 12-5 a.m. New York, Feb. 14. The Federal Government has declared a twelve-day prosecution against typhus, the first authenticated death from which since 1892 occurred here to-day. Under this ruling Atlantic liners must remain six days in port before landing ppssengersj—Aus. and N.Z. Cable Assn.
