The match between Australia and Wellington was concluded to-day. Australia made 293 in their first innings, and Wellington replied with 21S, and when stumps were drawn on Saturday Wellington had lost seven wickets for 91 in their second innings. On resuming to-day Middleton accompanied Condliffe to the wickets, but the latter, when 10 runs had been added, was run out. —lol—B—7. Brice followed, but soon lobt Middleton, who was totaled by a capital ball after making a few runs.—lo9—9—s. Finlayson was the last man in, and a good partnership ensued, the pair adding 49 for the last wicket. Brice went for the bowling aggressively, and Finlayson batted steadily, while the pair did scone smart running between tte wickets. The end came after 45 minutes play, Finlayson being bowled by Ironmonger.—lsB—lo—l7. Requiring 84 to win Richardson and Bogle opened Australia’s second innings. At lunch time they had scored 36 runs in 22 minutes. Soon after lunch, with no addition to the score, Richardson was caught in the slips by Baker, fielding as substitute for Bruce. Waddy joined Bogle, and the pair carried the score to 51, when Waddy played Middleton 0n. —51 —12—9. Kippax followed, and runs came more slowly, the score gradually mounting until the required total was reached, Australia thus winning b'y eight wickets. Following are the scores WELLINGTON.
