GOLF.

L.G.U. HANDICAP SYSTEM. BRAID MAY VISIT AUSTRALIA. By Telegraph.—Press Assn.—Copyright. Received Feb. 13, 5.5 p.m. London, Feb. 11. The Lauies’ Golf Union has .adopted a system of basing bogey scores on the length of holes, as the only way of standardising handicaps. The Australian and New Zealand experience is cited in favor of .the method. It was also decided to recognise plus handicaps. It is understood in golfing circles that Vardon and Ray are not likely to accept an invitation to visit Australia, but it is believed Braid and Tom Fernle (the Scottish golf champion) are not adverse to visiting the Commonwealth if they recteive a satisfactory invitation.—Aus.-N.Z.
