WEDDING.
CHRYSTAL—STAVELEY. The wedding took place on Monday at St. John’s Anglican Church, Ohakune, of Miss Evelyn* Maude Staveley, the younger daughter of .Mrs. A. F. Wilson, of Ohakune West, to Mr. Andrew Chrystal, of Eltham, and formerly of New Plymouth, the youngest son of Mr. and Mrs. A. Chrystal, of Winton, Southland. The ceremony was conducted by the Rev. W. T. Weller, while Mrs. Butler officiated at the organ. The bride, who entered the church on the arm of her uncle, Mr. J. B. Eaton, wore a graceful gown of white ivory crepe-de-chine with an over dress of georgette, and with this was worn a beautifully embroidered tulle veil and orange blossoms, while the toilet was completed by a shower bouquet of white roses and carnations. The bridesmaid was Miss Gwendolyn Staveley, sister of the bride, and she was attired in a dress of pale lavender crepe-de-chine with a large black crepe-de-chine picture hat. and carried a bouquet of pale lavender sweet peas. Little Eileen Staveley acted as flower girl, and Mr. H. R. Eaton, of Ohakun.e acted as best man. After the ceremony the guests were entertained at a breakfast at the residence of the bride’s mother. At the conclusion of the breakfast a short rtoast list was gone through and the healths of the newly married couple and their parents were drunk with musical honors. Subsequently Mr. and Mrs. Chrystal left by the midnight express en route for the South Island where they intend spending their honeymoon. —Eltham Argus.
