An apology has been tendered to Sir Auckland Geddes for the misrepresentation of his- remarks concerning Britain and Ameriea. Mr. Mark Sheldon (Australian Commercial Agent) has returned from an extensive trip through the Middle West. Asked by a correspondent what sentiment he found amongst business people towards Britain, he replied that his impression was that though trade rivalry and occasional personal differences do and will arise, an overwhelming majority of the people consider the cultivation of friendship towards Britain to be the most vital question in American foreign policy.—Aus. and N.Z.
