KAITANGATA TROUBLE ENDED. By Telegraph.—Press Association. Dunedin, Feb. 10. The trouble at the Kaitangata mine has been settled by the men waiting on the management and offering to return unconditionally. The offer was accepted and work is being re-started. YOUNG (SOLICITOR CENSURED. Auckland, Feb. 10. Mr. J. F., Dickson, solicitor, was again before Mr. Poynton, S.M., on a charge of contempt of ' court arising out of a comment made as to the Magistraat’s conduct of a case. Mr. Dickson still maintained that if he committed an offence the court had no jurisdiction to deal with the matter. The magistrate said he would not place a black mark on a young man’s career by fining him or imprisoning him. It would be sufficient to state that his conduct towards the court was conduct unbecoming of a gentleman and unworthy of a member of the legal profession. The censure was made solely with the object of vindicating the authority of the court. THEFT OF DRUGS. Wellington, Feb. 10. During the night the shop of James Baillie, chemist, was entered through a window in the back premises. Only chloroform and poison were taken. WORK AT PATENT SLIP. Wellington, Feb. 10. The men resumed work at the patent slip this morning. SEAMEN ACCEPT OFFER. Wellington, Feb 10. The New Zealand seamen have accepted the shipowners’ offer of a bonus of 10s per month.
