FOUND IN WELL

.SETTLER’S WIFE DROWNED.

HUSBAND’S TRAGIC DISCOVERY. Yesterday evening a gruesome discovery was made by Mr. Jury, of Frankley Road, when in drawing water from a well on his property he found the body of his wife, Mrs. Hannah Jury, aged 58 years. Mrs. Jury had been absent from home since January 23 and, it was thought, was visiting friends in Taihape. The well was 30 feet deep, and was in daily use by Mr. Jury. The matter was reported to the police, and the body was removed to the morgue.
