Tennis Association has announced that the Davis Cup challenge round will ho played at Now York, the best preliminary tie at Newport and other preliminary ties at Pittsburg, Chicago, Cleveland, New York, Boston, and Philadelphia.— Aus.-N.Z. Cable Assn. WAVERLEY BEAT HAWERA. The Hawera Club sent a team of four ladies and six men to Waverley on Saturday to play an Inter-club match, and after an interesting aflernoon’s play the local team were returned winners by a substantial margin.
