MILLION LAMBS SHORT. Details of stock in the Dominion supplied by the Government Statistician show a slight decrease on last year’s returns, the totals being as follow, with 1919 figures in parenthesis:— Cattle, including dairy cows, 3,101, 945 (3,035,478). Dairy cows in milk, 782,757 (732,253). Dry cows, 110,C97 (93,8'82). Horses, 346,407 (363,188). Sheep, including lambs, as at April 30th, 23,914,506 (26,820,554). Number of sheep shorn, 23,075,250 (23.720.351) Number of lambs tailed, 9,447,752 (10.485.351) Pigs, 266,829 (235,347).
