ALLEGED SERIOUS ASSAULT. By Telegraph.—Press Association Christchurch, Feb. 4. Robert Hitohings, charged with haying caused grievous bodily harm to Raymond Rapley by cutting his throat with a razor at Addington on January 24, appeared in the Magistrate’s Court today and was committed' for trial. Bail was allowed in £250.
PATENT SLIP STRIKE
' Wellington, Last Night. There is nq further development, in the dispute with the boiler-makers at the patent slip and_al! work is held up. The Ironmasters’ 'Association held a meeting to-day, and it is understood a further effort will be made to induce the men to return to work in the terms of ths agreement.
