One of the most popular fixtures in Taranaki amongst tennis players prior to the war was the annual tournament which was held) under tie auspices of the Taranaki Lawn ■ Tennis Association. Owing to the majority of the tennis players having gone to the war the tournament was not held during , the war. This year, however, it has been decided to revive it, and the tournament will' be held on the New Plymouth Club's courts, commencing on Thursday, February 17. En- 1 tries for the various events will close with the secretary (Mr. C. B. Webster) on Saturday next, February 12.
