LAWN TENNIS.
TARANAKI TOURNAMENT. ENTRIES NEXT WEEK. Following on the tournament will be the Auckland-Taranaki match, which lijis been definitely arranged to commence on the 22nd inst. One of the most popular fixtures in Taranaki amongst tennis players prior to the war was the annual tournament which was held) under tie auspices of the Taranaki Lawn ■ Tennis Association. Owing to the majority of the tennis players having gone to the war the tournament was not held during , the war. This year, however, it has been decided to revive it, and the tournament will' be held on the New Plymouth Club's courts, commencing on Thursday, February 17. En- 1 tries for the various events will close with the secretary (Mr. C. B. Webster) on Saturday next, February 12.
