The continuation of “go slow,” at the Northern Coal Company’s mine at Kiripaka culminated to-day in the mine closing indefinitely. Recently the liquidator of the company Visited the mine and entered into an arrangement whereby’ the men undertook to produce over 100 tong a day, and in the meantime to communicate with the federation on the question of discontinuing “go slow.’’ The federation reported that, “go slow” was to continue, and yesterday evening the manager informed the men that they must either call off “go slow 7” or take tlieir tools out of the mine. The men adopted the latter course, and fifty are idle. “Go slow” was continued at the three Waikato mites yesterday.
