TARANAKI DAILY NEWS, STRATFORD AGENCY. Advertisements and items of news for publication should be left at the office of thu local representative, W. J. Wilson, next Union Bank. January 31. Only three building permits were issued by the Stratford Borough Council during January, all being for dwellings. The total value of the permits amounted to £3150. James, were as follows: Births, 20; deaths, 7: marriages, 5. The primary and secondary departments of they Stratford District .High School and the' local convent school will re-open to-morrow after the summer vacation. The concrete work on the Finnerty Road bridge will be finished in less tlfin three weeks, but the filling at the approaches will take some further time.
