AIRSHIP MISHAP.
BLOWN OUT TO SEA. By Telegraph.—Press Assn.—Copyright. London, Jan. 28. The airship R 34 made a bad landing on the Yorkshire coast damaging her engines and propellers. She was blown out to sea, where she floated. Destroyers were sent to her rescue. A later communique issued by the Air Ministry states that R 34 returned to her base at low speed. She was over Tunstall, a small village on the Yorkshire Coast, at 10 o’clock in the morning.— Aus.-N.Z Cable Assn. Received Jan. 30, 5.5 p.m. London, Jan. 29. The Airship R 34 reached, the aerodrome at Howden, but owing to its crippled condition it bumped several times in landing. The crew were compelled to jump ten feet to earth. The airship was moored for the night, as it was .impossible to house her. A gale arose and it became impossible to keep her under control, and the «n--velope collapsed and the ship sank to the ground a mass of wreckage. Aus.N.Z. Cable Assn. THE CREW SAFE. London, Jan. 28.
