AN ACTOR’S DEATH.
A VETERAN OF THF STAGE. By Telegraph.—Pres? Assn.—Copyright. Received Jan. 30, 5.5 p.m. Sydney. Jan. 30. The body of George Darrell, a veteran author and actor-manager, was washed ashore on the beach near Manly. He left the house of a friend where he lived on Thursday night, and a note was subsequently found in his room, merely stating that he haa gone on a voyage. The deceased was over seventy* and was well known in New Zealand, where he made his debut as an actor. —Aus. and N.Z. Cable Assn.
