The Belgian Minister of War is visiting French Headquarters in the occupied territory. It is believed the consultation will result in strengthening the unity of action between the French and Belgian troops. CONCEALED GERMAN ARMS. Paris, Jan. 26. The Inter-Allied Commission, learning that arms were concealed in the Konigsberg fortress, ordered a search. French and British officers forced an entry and seized war material. Germany declares this action an abuse of power. DIRECT ACTION BY TRAWLERS. London, Jan. 26. The Grimsby trawlers have decided not to give notice of a strike, but will choose the time most calculated to inconvenience the owners. This prevents the owners from taking measures to minimise the effects. It is reported that the strike does not affect other fishing centres. AMERICAN UNEMPLOYED. New York, Jan. 25. Official figures show that 8,473,000 persons are unemployed throughout the United StatesGUARANTEEING RUSSIA FROM ATTACK. New York, Jan. 25. The Brazilian Minister informed the State Department that Brazil was in thorough accord with the views and policies indicated in President Wilson’s Note to the League suggesting that the Powers should guarantee Russia i from attack to test the Soviet’s contention that it is afraid to demobilise its army for fear of new aggressions.
