RIOT AT FUNERAL.
MOURNERS SHOT DEAD. By Telegraph.—Press Assn. —Copyright. Received Jan. .26, 7.25 p.m. Rome, Jan. 25. An epidemic of rioting is taking place in many cities of northen and central Italy. Dazing the funeral of a murdered Nationalist student at Modena, Socialists intervened, and rifles were fired and bombs thrown at the cortege. Two mourners were killed and twenty-two wounded. Later, demonstrators wrecked Bolshevik office' and residences, making bonfires of furniture and books. The Labor Chamber was destroyed by fire. Modena is now occupied by the military. —Aus.-N.Z.
