EXPORT OF MEAT.

THE WANGARATTA SAILS. After a stay in port of nearly a fortnight loading frozen meat, the liner Wangaratta sailed from New Plymouth last evening for Wanganui and Wellington, and, from the latter port she sails for Falmouth for orders. The cargo taken was equivalent to 76,000 freight carcases and its approximate value is in the vicinity of £98,500. The meat came from the works of the Taranaki Farmers’ Company at Smart Road, and Messrs. Borthwick and Co.’s Waitara branch. Part of the consignent was the balance of the Government purchase of last season’s output.
