The Stratford borough is at present being revalued by the Government, and it is expected that a considerable increase 'Will be made. The members of the local Swimming Club are actively pushing ahead with the arrangents for the carnival, which is to he held next month. Mr. P. Skoglund, town clerk, returned to Stratford on Saturday night after his annual leave. Mr. Albert Anderson, a son of Mr. J. Anderson, of East Road, Stratford, has further added to his scholastic successes by completing his law professional exi amination at the Wellington University, and has thereby gained his LL.B, degree. Mr. Andereson is an old boy of the Stratford District. High School. Mr. W. G. Liddell, who recently purchased the well known bookseller’s and stationer’s business of Mr. H. J. Hopkins, has now taken over the business, and an announcement in connection with the change is advertised in thia ■ issue. All interested are invited to visit the Stratford model dairy farm on Wednesday next at 1 p.m., when members of the committee will be in attendance to explain the working of the farm.
