EVERYBODY'S. “A GREAT COUP” AND “THE FLY COP.” For a combination of thrills and comedy the programme showing at Everybody’s is hard to beat. The star feature, Nat Gould’s “A Great Coup,” in which Poppy (the Hon. Mrs. Dennis) Wyndham plays the leading role with fire and verve, is an English production, and of the best that England has produced. In addition a panacea for all ills is provided in “The Fly Cop,” the second of the Larry Semon comedies, and one that rivals his “Grocery Clerk” for sheer enjoyment It begins with a laugh, and ends with a roar. The programme also includes the seventh episode of the gripping serial “The Vanishing Dagger.” TO-MORROW. Anothter new face appears in the Universal feature “The Girl in the Rain,” in which Anne Cornwall stars at Everybody’s to-morrow and Thursday. THE PEOPLE’S. BILL RUSSELL AND MADLAINE TRAVERSE. William RusselJ, known to motion picture fans as a superb interpreter of he-man roles, gives a unique exhibition of his versatility in |he new Fox feature “Leave It to Me,” at the People’s Theatre. In tko role cf a happy-go-lucky and rich young man he is called upon to sustain a part somewhat out of the beaten path, and involving scenes of intense tenderness as well as intense action. He gives a remarkably convincing characterisation. The bill includes latest gazettes and also presents Madlaine Traverse in “The Spirit of Good.”
