GERMAN WAR CRIMES.

THE FIRST CONVICTIONS. London, Jan. 9. A Berlin message says that the first three cases of war criminate were tried at a specially allocated Imperial Court at Leipzig. The accused did not include those on the Allies’ extradition lists, but offenders who were brought to the knowledge of the Court. The accused were former engineers, and were convicted on a charge of plundering an inn in a Belgian hamlet, in October, 1918. They were sentenced to five years’, four years’, and two years’ imprisonment respectively.
