BOWLING.

TARANAKI TOURNAMENT. OPENING ON MONDAY. The sixteenth annual tournament under the auspices of the Taranaki Bowling Centre opens on Monday morning and continues on the following days till the 28th Inst. The New Plymouth, Fitzroy, arid West End greens will be utilised for play. Visiting bowlers will be tendered a complimentary smoke concert in the Kawaroa Park bungalow on Wednesday night. Rain prevented the resumption of play in the bowling tournament to-day, and when it appeared that there was no chance of the weather clearing, all the games were postponed until 9 a.m. to-morrow.
