Jones, of Sydney, has patented a magnetic landing and starting platform, enabling elevated landings to be made, possibly on houstops.—Aus.N.Z. Cable Assji. THE VENTURA’S QUARANTINE. Sydney, Jan. 19. The Ventura, which had a case of small pox on board, will be quarantined three weeks. She has on board 137 passengers and 130 of a crew. If successfully vaccinated some of the passengers will be released in a few days.— Aub.-N.Z. Cable Assn.
