QUICK DEATH FROM INJURIES. By Telegraph.—Press Assn.—Copyright. Timaru, Last Night. A shocking fatal accident occurred at the Pareora railway station this evsr ing. When the evening slow train going south was at the station a man left if temporarily and tried to get on board again after it had started. He missed his footing and fell between the two carriages, and both legs were shockingly mangled. An engine and van were sent from Timaru tp bring the injured man tb town, but, he died just before he was put in the van. He was only able to give his as “Rennie”, and say Mrfe. deceased was apparently about >0 years of age, sft 9in in height, clean shaven, brown hair, blue eyes, sallow complexion, with a scar on the lower right jaw.
