INDICATIONS OF RAIN. Another very hot day was experienced in Taranaki yesterday. The “glass” again showed a tendency to fall, but there were no immediate indications of rain. The official weather report issued last night says: Present indications are for easterly winds strong to gale northward, of Kawhia and East Cape, and increasing northesrlies elsewhere, backTng to southerlies shortly. Heavy rain may be expected in the northern districts, and unsettled, cloydy and misty conditions with rain following generally. The barometer is likely, to fall further everywhere, but will rise in the south after about 16 hours.
