DISTRICT NEWS.
WAREA. (From Our Own Correspondent.? A large and successful children’s* Christmas party was tendered to the children of the district on Friday night. The little guests had a very happy time, and games, dances, music and songs were the order of the evening. The energetic ladies’ committee, consisting of Mesdames Larking, Laurence, Fowles, C. W. Corbett, Parker and Miss Corbett, were well pleased with the response of parents and children of the district to their efforts. Music and songs were contributed during the evening by Mesdames R. Bell, J. Doyle, Misses Winifred Larking, Ruth Harding, and Ina Donald, Miss Barak and Mr. S. Goodin. The committee wish to thank them for their help, and specially thank Mrs. Bell for her help, and also the ladies of the district who so generously contributed a splendid supper. The small guests were treated to lollies before leaving for home. Mr. E. Johns helped in his usual kind manner. Some of the small guests were in fancy dress, and looked charming, one tiny girl, who was dressed as a fairy, being bonny. It is hoped to repeat this party annually now the ice is broken.
