DOMINION TOURNAMENT. 'TARANAKI SUCCESSES. By Telegraph.—Press Association. Wellington, Last Night. The Dominion bowling tournament Was continued to-day in ideal weather. In the rink contests the third and fourth rounds were completed, but there is further competition before the section play is completed. N.S.W. TOUR CANCELLED. Wellington, Jan. 11. This morning the secretary of the Dominion Bowling Association received the following cable from Australia relative to the contemplated visit of New South Wales bowlers» “Strike compels cancel trip. Regret.—McMillan.” The New South Wales bowlers were to leave for New Zealand oft the 13th inst. and their tour from Auckland downwards had all been They Were to play throughout the Dominion, and on their return to Australia the New Zealand team to visit England was to re? turn with them, playing in Australia. Cancellation of the visit will be greatly regretted. This feeling wits very evident to-day on the various greens when the competing bowlers in the Dominion tournament heard the news. The following rinks from the Waitara Club are to be represented at the tournament to be held in New Plymouth this month:—Ford, Wyllie, S. George, L. Sampson; C. Sampson, Colman, Kibby, S. Elliott; Calder, Huse, Bird, Hawkins.
