The revolution has developed a new and aggressive type of women among the Russians. Most of them wear military uniform and have their hair cut short. The socialisation of women has been carried out only in the remote parts of the country. In the larger cities they still form tmarriage ties, but are at the. same time free to live their own lives. As an example, Lenin’s wife is Comrade Eurpskaja. A thousand of these women were actively fighting the Poles, and twenty thousand have been mobilised for the defence of Petrograd.
