THE HON. J. G. COATES.

NORTH TARANAKI VISIT. AT STRATFORD TO-NIGHT. The Minister of. Public Works (the Hon. J. G. Coates) leaves Wellington this morning for Taranaki. He detrains at Stratford and will meet a deputation from local bodies there tonight. To-morrow the Minister will spend the day in New Plymouth, when it is probable several matters relating to the electorate will be brought up by deputations from the Chamber of Commerce and the Taranaki County Council. On Sunday Mr. Coates leaves on a two-days’ trip through the Mokau district, and he will be accompanied by the menfber for Waitomo (Mr. W. T. Jennings), and the district engineer (Mr. T. Ball). The Minister on Tuesday goes on to Te Kuiti, whence he will proceed by the express to Auckland, where he will attend a conference regarding the formation of an electric power board for the city
