Owing to increases in the cost of labor and materials the Harbor Trust is increasing wharfage charges, the present rates of 2s 6d and 3s 4d per ton being advanced to a uniform charge of 5b on goods from overseas. The tonnage rates on overseas vessels have been advanced from a half-penny to three-farthings per gross toy. The charges for sheds and overseas berths are also increased and the increases will operate from the commencement of the New Year.
