EVERYBODY'S. TO-DAY AND TO-NIGHT—"WHY 1 WOULD NOT MARRY." A dozen problems in which every woman is vitally Interested are pictured, lived through and answered in the most powerful marriage play of the' day, "Why I Would Not -Marry," a William Fox morality production, which will lie shown this afternoon, to-night and tomorrow night at Everybody's. How a woman can avoid matrimonial pitfalls, delve into the future life, select the right man to make her married life ideally happy, master the laws of beauty and good health—all these problems are solved, logically and entertainingly in this startling photodranm. THE PEOPLE'S. LAST NIGHT OF "SHORE ACRES." Before a packed house of expectant picture patrons, Alice Lake made her first appearance as a star, yesterday, in the picturisation of James A. Heme's famous eomedy drama "Shore Acres," at the People's Theatre. Miss Lake's starring vehicle is one of the best features that has ever appeared on the screen, the qualities of the Heriie stage play lending themselves admirably to the transfer to the silver-sheet. "Shore Acres," which first won world-wide popularity as a stage play, now bids fair to duplicate the success of the drama in celluloid, for the production is from first to lost a rattling good picture. June Elvidge is at her best in "His Father's Wife," and the bill includes latest gazettes. To-morrow's change presents another Selznick triumph, "Sealed Hearts," starring Eugene O'Brien, and the bill includes the final episode of "The Great Gamble," which concludes with a thrilling eliriiax.
KAPOXGA PICTURES. Tlie principal feature of to-night's programme is the William Fox suppr feature ''When a Man Sees Red.'' starring William Farnum and Jewel Carman. This stirring tale of the South Seas was described by the National Board of Review as one of the most memorable pictures iever produced. Serial, Comedy and Ediirational film complete the programme.
