CHRISTMAS GREETINGS.

On Christmas Eve the Governor-Gen-eral sent the following message to the Secretary of State for the Colonies on behalf of the Government and people of New Zealand:— "I reapectfnlly beg to convey to your Majesty and lwr Majesty the Queen, i loyal Christinas greetings and good wishes for the N<w Tear."—(Signed) Jellicoe. , His Excellency bag received a telegraphic reply as follows: "Yotir telegram has been laid before his Majesty the King' who hM commanded me to request yon to convey to the Government and .people or New Zealand an oppression of their Majecties' thanks for ajtd appreciation of (heir loyal messages."—(Signed) Milner.
