In the championship, Arthur Duncan beat Douglas Whyte, 1 up, at the 18tb hole, afv ter a fine game, which was interesting throughout. Duncln was up to t'orra, and outclassed his opponent, although the younger player showed skill, one of his putts being a remarkable shot from the edge of ilie green. Wind hampered both players. Duncan beat Whyte at the last Easier tournament, 4 up and 3 to play.
