A CHILD POISONED.

The eleven months daughter of Archibald Hindu died yesterday afternoon, shortly after swallowing tabloids ao.'i- ■ dentally dropped in the room of an mint who was using them for neuritis. Medical aid was available soon afterwards, but th» child collapsed. At the inquest a verdict of accidental death ■fras returned. 1 DROWNED WHILE BATHING. Wanganui, Dec. 24. Percy Stitt, about 25 years of age. was drowned at Castledilf this morning. He was a visitor from Wellington, where he was employed in the G.P.O.
