HURRIED FINANCE.
RAPID DECISION CONDEMNED. By Telegraph.—Press Assn —Copyright. Received Dee. 23, 5.5 p.m. London, Dec. 22. In the House of Commons, Sir Donald Mac Lean (deputy leader of the Liberal Party) condemned the passing of Estimates totalling- £559,000,000 in one night, and he asked for the appointment of an Estimates ..Committee. At least forty days should be allocated to finance, and, also, next session should be devoted almost entirely to finance and economy. Mr. Bonar Law, in a sympathetic reply, agreed that in general the control of finance was unsatisfactory. He thought Sir Donald MaeLean's suggestion might l>e adopted.—Aus.-N.Z. Cable Assn.
