-Mr. S. G. Raymond, K.C., whoso name has been mentioned for Supremo Court " honor*, i s leaving England by the Ruahine for New Zealand. Mr. Raymond went to Europe for the sake of hi* health, which is reported to be completely restored.
ilr. Frank Amoore, formerly of Eltham, but now of Wliakatane, accoi* panicd hy Mrs. Amoore and pnrty, has arrived at New Plymouth by motor-car to spend the Christmas and' New Year holidays.
The Prim'e 'Minister yesterday received the following cable in reply to his season's greetings to the Prince of Wales: "Very many thanks for your telegram of Christmas and New Year greetings, which I heartily reciprocate, Kia Ora.—Edward P."—Press Association.
