BANK SUSPENDS PAYMENT.
SMALL SHOPKEEPERS AFFECTED. By Telegraph.— Press Assn.—Copyrijlit. London, Dec. 20. Farrow's Bank has suspended payment. The failure is regarded as unimportant from a financial viewpoint, but is likely to cause considerable hardships. It is known as "The People's Bank," and has 37 branches. The customers ar? mostly small shopkeepers and clerks. The Board of Trade states that the failure is due to losses in trading over a series of years.—Aus.-N.Z. Ca-ble Assn.
