BOOK-KEEPING.
TARANAKI PRIZE WINNERS. 'lt has been the practice of the Taranaki branch of the New Zealand Society of Accountants to hold an annual competitive examination in book-keep-ing and commercial knowledge, open to all scholars under the age of 20 years, attending day classes at secondary schools throughout Taranaki. This year's examination was held on the 29th of November, 1920, and the results are now to hand. Entries were received from the New Plymouth High School, New Plymouth Technical College, and Stratford District High School. Out of IS candidates only°u succeeded in obtaining over 50 per cent on the paper set.
The following are the prize winners for this year:—First, Donald Banks, New Plymouth Technical College, £3 3s; second, Francis Holmes, New Plymonth Technical College, £2 2s; third, Mary MacKae, New Plymouth Technical College, £1 Is.
A copy of the examiner's report is being forwarded to all schools which put forward candidates.
