PAY ON THE WATERSIDE. Br T«!«trnph.—Press AstoeUtltm. Wellington, Last Night The conference of waterside workers and employers <of waterpjde labor was resumed to-day. At previous sittings the question of increased payment on account of increased cost of living had been postponed, pending the decision of the Arbitration Court in regard to the "9s bonus." The delegates to-day discussed the cost of living and the judgment of the Court. The conference will be continued to-morrow.
EXPANSION OP AUCKLAND. Auckland, Last Night i Point Chevalier has decided to amalgamate with the city of Auckland, the proposal being carried at a poll by 243 fnt.es to 123. GOVERNOR AS YACHTSMAN. Auckland, Last Night. Tht> Governor-General competed in a race for 14-feet yachts on Saturday, Bailing his own vessel, the Iron Duke. Lord .Mlicoe. who got a very bad start, rwhi" *n a light breeze, finished fourth <n a field of ten.
