FREEZING WORKERS' DISPUTE. POSITION UNCHANGED. There haß been no new development in connection with the freezing worker*' dispute, arising out of the demand for certain rates of pay. In the meantime, the companies have not decided on any date as to the commencement of the slaughtering season, which, however, will not' now begin before the New Year.
At the Taranaki Farmfera' works at Smart Road, no hands have been taken on, the only employees at the works being tho firemen and greasers neoeic sary to attend to the refrigerating machinery.
