WOOL POSITION.
CAUSE OF CALAMITOUS CONDITION.

The West Yorkshire Woollen Manufacturers' Association, comprising 24 cloth manufacturing firms, passed a resolution thift the Government's retention of wool for two years after the armistice, by ifiting high reserves, had been unjustifiable interference with the natural course of trade, and wa3 the principal cause of the present calamitous condition df-the woollen industry, with the result that thousands of British woollen workers were already unemployed) and scoreß of thousands on half time or less.
The association believed that nothing less than the complete abandonment of attempts to control wool prices would bring a measure of stability to their distressed industry. .Aus.-N'.Z. Cable Assn,

The Tisuaren, the first vessel since 1914,' has sailed for Germany, with a cargo of wool for Hamburg.
