HOSTEL ACCOMMODATION.
FOR TECHNICAL COLLEGE PUPILS,
At the break-up ceremony in connsc-t tion with the New Plymouth Tteiutfea* College yesterday the director (Mj, A, I*, Moore) announced that he had 'person* ally acquired a property, and intended to open it as a hoarding hostel foq pupils. It will be remembered that fox* some time efforts have been mads bjj the College Board to secure the Goirernment's aid for the provision of a hostel for the benefit of country students, but) so far no grant lias.been forthcoming.; For the present the scheme will ba under the personal supervision of Mr* Moore.
The hostel, which will be ready for the opening pf the school in February next year, is the Niger House property, .Eliot Street, and it is estimated that boarding accommodation can foe pro-, vided for about twenty-five to thirty students. "
