LIFE-SAVING SOCIETY.
MEETING OF COMMITTEE.
The monthly meeting of the committee of the North Taranaki Head Centre oi the lioyal Live-Saving Society was held last ilight. Present: Mr. W. C. Weston (president), Messrs. D. Sykes, ff. Brown, 0. McHardy, J. Bennett, F. Eggleton, N. A.'Christiansen, K. Kirk and R. B. Macdonald (hon secretary). It was decided that the trophy donated by Mr. Christiansen should be called the Christiansen Four-Man Challenge Shield, and a committee was appointed to draw up rules for same. The following officials were appointed for the ensuing year:—Honorary Instructors—Misses Brown and Dowling, Messrs. N. A. Christiansen, W. Lang, M. Osborne, F. Eggleton, E. F'oden, E. B. Macdonald, D. Sykes and W. Brown. Honorary examiners—Misses Brown and Dowling, Messrs. Christiansen, Foden, Kirk, Sykes and Macdonald. Medical examiners—Drs. Wade, Blackley aq,d Brewster. Messrs. Weston and Christiansen were apopinted to purchase a reel for the Ngamotu beach, subject to satisfactory arrangements being made with the betwh committae,
