Sydney, Dec. hi The latest reports from the wheat centres indicates that damage, though undoubtedly serious, is not si) extensive as was anticipated. The weather is now linn and, given a continuance, much gain wljieh appeared to have been lost may, with care and patience, be recovered.
In some eases (lie continued rain has caused the germination of the ripened wheat, but not extensively. The pessimism which marked the 'earlier reports has greatly lessened. The growers are facing the situation courageously and w-mireei'ully Ans.-N.Z. Coble Assn.
